This policy explains what data EbookCreator.ai ("we", "us") collects when you use ebookcreator.ai (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account data — your email address and name (via email signup or Google login), managed by our authentication provider, Supabase.
- Content you create — book briefs, outlines, chapters, covers and related project data, stored so your library syncs across devices.
- Usage data — credit transactions and feature usage, used for billing, abuse prevention and product improvement.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through standard server logs and, where enabled, analytics cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
How we use your data
- To provide the Service: generating content you request, syncing your library, and maintaining your credit balance.
- To process AI generations: your briefs and drafts are sent to our AI providers (Anthropic for text, OpenAI for cover artwork) to produce the content you request. We do not permit our providers to train on your content.
- To communicate with you about your account, and — only with consent — about product updates.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not claim ownership of the content you create — it's yours, including commercial rights.
- We do not share your manuscripts with other users or use them in marketing.
Processors we rely on
Supabase (authentication and database, EU/US), Anthropic (AI text generation, US), OpenAI (AI cover artwork, US), and AWS Amplify (hosting). Each processes data only to provide their service to us.
Retention & deletion
Your projects are kept while your account is active. You can delete any project in the app at any time; deleting your account removes your personal data and content within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR and CCPA) you can request access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data. Email legal@ebookcreator.ai and we'll respond within 30 days.
