How KDP royalties work
On the 70% plan Amazon deducts a small delivery fee (about $0.15 for a text-only eBook) from each sale, and requires your price to sit between $2.99 and $9.99. Below or above that band you drop to 35% with no delivery fee. If you enroll in KDP Select, Kindle Unlimited readers additionally earn you roughly half a cent per normalized page read (KENP) — meaningful for longer books with high read-through.
